Born 1989, Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Sasha Saltanova turns to the study of the industrial heritage of the Urals through poetic images and finds them everywhere: in urban space, in everyday life. In her works, industrialism interacts with individuality, revealing new worlds: lyrical, sometimes even fairy-tale.
The artist is attracted by the functional beauty of everyday life. An installation of nearly folded tables ("Waiting") or a woman engrossed in her work ("Grandma washes her boot covers in the snow") - her works show great attention to every instant.
